Regional Controller Eastern Europe Finance & Controlling Date: 2006-06-09 Job Description: - Purpose & Objectives: • Monitor, analyze and tightly control the financial and operational performance of Swatch Group Russia and ensure compliance with general accepted business standards and Swatch Group principles and guidelines • Support the responsible EKL Member for Eastern Europe in developing the business of the Swatch Group brands in the Region in a clean and transparent way Major Responsibilities & Main Duties: 1. Monitoring & Analysis (SG Russia) o Disseminate operational and financial reports of SG Russia, and distribute findings to relevant management functions to ensure sound decision making o Monitor and analyse financial and operational performance of SG Russia and investigate deviations from budget and operational targets 2. Control & Planning (SG Russia) o Design and implement state of the art controlling instruments for SG Russia (cost accounting, key figures, operational controls, etc.) o Ensure compliance with local and international laws, generally accepted business standards, Group principles and guidelines by reviewing the efficiency of operational processes, systems and structures, and propose solutions to pro-actively address management issues. o Develop and implement cost accounting systems for SG Russia o Evaluate and recommend capital expenditure requests, supervise execution and monitor achievement of promised improvements/yields/benefits o Supervise and coordinate the planning and budgeting process of SG Russia (time schedule, documentation, presentations etc.) o Organise operational service reviews (under lead of responsible EKL Member), planning and budget reviews and ensure follow-up on outstanding matters with SCM/Head of Finance and CM 3. Operational improvement (SG Russia) o Initiate tangible actions/projects for improvements of operational and financial performance, and establish best practice rules within the Group 4. Coordination and Support o Prepare documentation for Regional Steering Committee o Ensure compliance with local and international laws, general accepted business standards, and Group principles and guidelines for the Swatch Group brands’ activities in the Region o Support responsible EKL Member and Swatch Group brands’ business in the Region in financial and operational issues and coordinate the respective activities o Participate in strategic projects such as establishment of new subsidiaries, acquisitions, etc. Your Profile: - Education: University degree in Business Economics / Finance These are guidelines/potential qualifications.
